About this event
Renewables and energy storage will be key enablers to the energy transition. Understanding how to adapt an electricity grid built many years ago to the rapid growth of these modern technologies will be just as important.
This webinar will explore the role of battery storage and renewable energy in the UK’s drive to net zero, the impact they will have on infrastructure and how to maximise asset revenues to meet rapidly-changing electricity market opportunities.
We will take a deep dive into the current battery storage and renewable capacity installed to date and key drivers, along with UK pipeline activity and outlook for battery deployment in the near to mid-term. Experts from the Solar Media Market Research team Mollie McCorkindale and Dr Finlay Colville will present the latest findings from their exhaustive and comprehensive work.
Short presentations will be followed by a panel discussion with EDF’s Head of Energy Trading Stuart Fenner, EDF’s Head of Wholesale Mark Cox, National Grid’s Head of Strategy Claire Dykta, Pivot Power’s Co-founder, COO and CTO Mikey Clark, moderated by Energy-Storage.news editor Andy Colthorpe.
The panel will explore
