Solar Media invites you to their event

How to navigate the N-type era with Trina Solar’s Vertex PV modules

About this event

When it comes to selecting solar PV modules, nothing is more important than reliability, closely linked to design and production quality. It’s something that concerns both customers and PV module manufacturers alike.

With the technologies used in solar always evolving and improving, it can be a challenge to understand how best to compare and evaluate modules, the essential building blocks of a PV system’s array.

At the same time, p-type passivated emitter and rear-contact cell (PERC) modules are beginning to reach their theoretical efficiency limits. More solar manufacturers are instead shifting to modules with N-type tunnel oxide-passivated contact (TOPCon) cell designs which are well on the way to a majority market share.

Reliability, as well as increased module efficiency and power output, are the main metrics by which PV modules are judged by the industry. With n-type TOPCon technologies, many module manufacturers are actively working on enhancing module efficiency and power output to seize a larger share of the market.

Trina Solar recently made a breakthrough as the first module maker to mass produce TOPCon modules with power output exceeding 700W. The Vertex N 700W+ series modules adopts the n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology that Trina Solar unveiled at the SNEC 2023 expo in Shanghai and which has already begun rolling off the manufacturer’s production line. Cell efficiency in mass production has now reached 25.8%, close to the maximum of 26%.

In this PV Tech Webinar, Trina Solar’s product expert will share detailed information of the mass production of 700W+ Vertex N modules and how they are leading in the N era of solar energy.

We will also be joined by experts from TÜV Rheinland – providing an analysis of N-type module power calibration – and PVEL, taking the audience through the reliability analysis of Trina Solar’s N-type modules.
