About this event
With the recent launch of the “Guidelines for Procurement and Utilisation of Battery Energy Storage Systems” by the Ministry of Power and the launch of multiple large-scale storage tenders, India is on the verge of becoming a major global hub for energy storage. The Indian government is putting significant effort into developing the energy storage sector, recognising its vital role in supporting the country’s transition to greener electricity.
Three speakers will take part in this webinar, providing insights into this fast-moving sector and the exciting opportunities it presents.
Firstly, Dr Walawalkar will give a background on India’s energy storage development strategy. He will also discuss the latest regulatory changes and how these will impact the sector’s development.
Secondly, Dr. Reddy will provide an insight into the latest SECI 500MW standalone energy storage tender. He will also discuss SECI’s strategy around energy storage.
Finally, Rachel Locquet will summarise what we have heard and quantify current and future revenue streams for storage in India, also commenting on associated business cases.
