The eyes of the world are turning to solar energy, and that means that failures and underperformance will soon be more heavily scrutinised than ever before.

This webinar will introduce a whole new chapter in photovoltaic quality control excellence, exploring in detail the launch of the exciting new Quality Controlled PV (QCPV) program from TÜV Rheinland, and examining how leading total energy solutions provider Q CELLS is the first mover in partnering with TÜV to raise industry standards for solar module efficiency and quality around the globe. Join TÜV Rheinland’s Lukas Jakisch, Global Coordinator of Technical Issues – PV modules, and Q CELLS’ Daniel Felsch-Kruse – Head of Global Quality Management - Customer Management and Final Goods; and Christian Taubitz – Technical Expert in R&D and Technology, for this enlightening deep-dive into a new catalogue of tests that go beyond industry-standard levels of approval and safety qualification. TÜV Rheinland will explain what factors drove and inspired them to develop the QCPV program, and Q CELLS will explain how customers and the industry as a whole will benefit from this new certification of quality.

The webinar will examine in detail the catalogue of new testing procedures from TÜV Rheinland that go above and beyond previous industry standard benchmarks.

    Lukas is TÜV Rheinland’s global coordinator of technical issues in the field of PV modules at TÜV Rheinland’s Deputy Technical Competence Center, a position he has held for three years. In total, Lukas has spent more than 13 years at TÜV Rheinland.

    Christian Taubitz Technical Expert in the R&D and Technology Department @ Q CELLS

    Dr. Christian Taubitz received his PhD in physics from the University of Osnabrück in 2010. In the same year he joined the R&D team of Hanwha Q CELLS. Christian has worked for many years on the analysis and modelling of PV-modules and became an expert on module reliability.
