Jamie Hepner | Director of Applied Sport Science - Football Performance, Catapult
Ben Peterson is in his second season with the 49ers as head of player health & performance, overseeing athletic training, functional performance, nutrition and strength & conditioning. He joined the 49ers after spending more than two years as the director of sports science with the NHL’s Philadelphia Flyers. Peterson was also director of research and analytics for Catapult Sports, a global category-leader in elite sports technology, where he worked with teams in every major professional league around the world, helping them identify and evaluate contextual analytics by measuring training loads and biomarkers to improve the performance outcomes and reduce soft tissue injuries of their athletes. Peterson received his PhD in applied exercise physiology from the University of Minnesota and worked as director of performance at P3, which brings a data-driven approach to understanding athlete movement and development for performance optimization.
Lester Spellman | Founder, Spellman Performance
Matthew Warburton is a Senior Client Success Manager and Sports Scientist at Kinduct. With a background in Kinesiology and computer science Matt has led implementations of the Kinduct system to many high profile professional sports teams such as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and Vancouver Canucks. He has a keen eye on translating data into real life practical applications both in the training room and the weight room. Matt has a wide background of experience applying athlete monitoring in the high performance sporting environment. He also led the implementation of the GX Powered by Kinduct hydration recommendation system which is used by over 50 teams in the NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAA and MLB.
