Storware vProtect still extends its backup capabilities. With vProtect v4, we introduced Storage Providers as a new source type, which in general is to focus on storage data protection (instead of VM-centric or App-centric approach). We started with adding support for Ceph RBD, plain file systems, and Nutanix Files (AFS).

While Ceph has a built-in replication mechanism, it may not be possible for you to duplicate your infrastructure. Making backup, in this case, is essential.
