Sustainability Competence in the boardroom and leadership team

About this event

On-Demand Sustainability Competence Webinar

What does sustainability competence look like in your executive leadership?

Last year, Aktuell Hållbarhet brought to light a concerning disparity in sustainability-related expertise within the boards of numerous companies.

According to their comprehensive study ‘Hållbara bolag’, an astonishing more than 50% of the 130 listed companies they evaluated lacked any form of sustainability competence among their board members.

This is worrying. To enable the acceleration needed to ensure a safe planet for humanity, companies must prioritize sustainability and integrate it into the fabric of their governance structures.

In response to this, we had a crucial discussion featuring distinguished guests Camilla Dewoon, EVP and Head of Communications and Sustainability at Scania, and Thomas Bergström, CFO at Sortera.

In this webinar, we discuss topics such as:

  • What does sustainability competence mean and how much is enough?
  • Why is it necessary for more companies to ensure sustainability competence at the executive level?
  • What are the benefits of having sustainability expertise at the executive level?
  • What is the responsibility of management in ensuring a sustainability-competent board?
  • How do you think CSRD will change the lack of sustainability competence at the executive level?
