Avian and Reptile stabilization for the general practitioner
Increasing numbers of injured wildlife are being brought into veterinary practices. This talk will feature some techniques on how to stabilize these patients before they are transferred to a wildlife rehabilitation center - with special focus on birds and reptiles.

Dr Karin Lourens, Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital
Karin's interest in wildlife started in 2012 when she became a volunteer at the FreeMe Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Johannesburg.
Together with wildlife rehabilitation specialist, Nicci Wright, she created the Johannesburg Wildlife Veterinary Hospital and wildlife rehabilitation centre.
