About our speaker
Originally from Prince Edward Island, Canada, Melanie Hicks completed a Bachelor of Science and Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine before beginning her career as a companion animal practitioner in 2003. After ten years of enjoyment in private practice, Melanie joined Abaxis Global Diagnostics, working extensively with the VETSCAN family of products while providing continuing education for veterinary teams internationally.
Melanie is currently the Zoetis Global Diagnostic Medical Director for Education, and is the immediate Past-President of the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association. She resides in Canada with her family on a small alpaca farm.
