Dr. Clement Goehrs, co-founder & CEO of Synapse Medicine, is a public health physician with additional training and professional experience in statistics, epidemiology, and drug bioinformatics. During his medical career, he worked at the Bordeaux University Hospital and at INSERM, and was notably involved in the management of large epidemiological research studies.
He conducted 18 months of research in cognitive artificial intelligence applied to pharmacology, including 6 months as a visiting researcher at Stanford University, within the Center for Biomedical Informatics Research, until April 2017. He also graduated from a one-year Executive Education in Management and Finance at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
He was the founder and leader of the Hacking Health Bordeaux, the second largest European hackathon dedicated to health.

Steven Lane, MD, MPH serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Health Gorilla. He has worked in Clinical Informatics for over 25 years, most recently as the Clinical Informatics Director of Privacy, Information Security, and Interoperability at Sutter Health, and has cared for patients as a primary care family physician for more than 35 years.
In 2020, he was named as the Physician Executive Leader of the Year by the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the Association of Medical Directors of Information Systems (AMDIS). He has led policy discussions and workgroups to shape landmark interoperability standards, networks, and frameworks.
Dr. Lane is chairman of the Carequality Steering Committee and a member of the Board of Directors of The Sequoia Project, TEFCA’s Recognized Coordinating Entity designated by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). He serves as a member of the Health Information Technology Advisory Committee (HITAC) for the Department of Health and Human Services, the Health Information Management Systems Society (HIMSS) Interoperability & HIE Committee, and the Da Vinci Project Clinical Advisory Council.
He also serves on the committee of the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) Center for Data Insights and Innovation to develop and implement the state's first-ever healthcare Data Exchange Framework (DxF). CalHHS recently named nine organizations, including Health Gorilla, as Qualified Health Information Organizations (QHIOs).

Shelly Spiro is Executive Director of the Pharmacy HIT Collaborative (PHIT). PHIT is an organization of the major national pharmacy associations and associate members focused on advocating and educating key stakeholders regarding the use of health IT to better enable pharmacists to help optimize person-centered care by the inclusion of pharmacists within a technology-enabled integrated health care system. Spiro is active in national pharmacy associations, standards development organizations (NCPDP and HL7) and is a leader in Pharmacy health IT.
She is an American Society of Consultant Pharmacists (ASCP) Past President, 2014 Archambault Award recipient and 2019 Women’s Spotlight Award recipient. She was named in 2019 by Becker Hospital Review’s 102 women in health IT. She earned her BSPharm degree in 1976 from University of Illinois College of Pharmacy She has authored several articles and is a national speaker on topics relating to various professional pharmacy, health IT systems, terminology, electronic prescribing, and pharmacist eCare plan.

Hung Luu, M.D., Pharm.D., is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in clinical pathology and the diagnosis of hematologic cancers. He holds the L. Ruth Guy, Ph.D., Professorship in Medical Laboratory Science.
Dr. Luu earned his medical degree at Oregon Health & Science University and a doctoral degree in pharmacy at Drake University. After completing a residency in anatomic pathology and clinical pathology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, he gained advanced training in hematopathology through a fellowship at City of Hope in Duarte, California. Certified in anatomic and clinical pathology, clinical informatics, and hematology by the American Board of Pathology, he joined the UT Southwestern faculty in 2010.
Dr. Luu is Director of Clinical Pathology at Children’s Medical Center, where he is also Medical Director of the Hematology and Coagulation Laboratories. His research interests include pediatric hematologic malignancies, hematology with an emphasis on hemoglobinopathies, and the application of technology and process improvement in the laboratory to improve operational efficiency and clinical outcomes.
