Black. Queer. And Still Here.

During this moment of both global pandemic and civil unrest, how as an industry can we begin to take the necessary steps towards true inclusivity? Join Chris Cabrera as they host a group of six prominent LGBTQ+ Black bartenders to discuss the obstacles they have faced when finding their place in an industry that doesn’t seem diverse at first glance. How can bars, brands, liquor publications, cocktail conferences, and award shows start dismantling a system where only a fraction of our industry has had the opportunity to succeed? The conversation will be as enlightening as it is long overdue, but as James Baldwin once said, “The place in which I’ll fit will not exist until I make it.”
