This edition, titled “Advantages of NIRS in Cardiac Surgery and ECMO Therapy: Do We Need to Monitor Cerebral Saturation?” will focus on the evolution of Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) technology and its applications for the CVOR and beyond. Members of Terumo Cardiovascular’s team of Clinical Specialists will provide an overview of how NIRS technology has taken a prominent role in patient monitoring, and will then examine two simulated cases studies which illustrate how NIRS technology can be applied in cardiac surgery and ECMO procedures.
