Formerly at the FDA Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, he played a key role in shaping policies and regulations, notably in food allergen management and safety assessments for new food proteins. Based in Washington DC, Dr. Gendel's expertise is internationally recognized, and he has taught courses for prestigious organizations such as FDA and the Institute of Food Technologists.
