After a period of experimenting with wide-open promise and potential, the fashion and beauty sectors are now evaluating AI (both generative and traditional) through a different lens: as software that needs to meet the high bars for enterprise adoption, and as a set of solutions to specific use cases that need to be grounded in business and domain-specific data, and that need deliver tangible operational value.
As identified in The AI Report 2025 (a free download from The Interline, featuring perspectives from the speakers for this session) AI for fashion is now entering what we referred to as it's "application era". But while the surface for potential applications is vast - covering the full go-to-market lifecycle of a product, from design inspiration and eCommerce photography, through the full suite of enterprise processes - it can be difficult to determine and prepare for where and how the value of deploying those applications will be realised.
To analyse where AI stands in fashion today, to identify some of the use cases that will define its future, and to benchmark industry readiness, Ben Hanson (Editor-in-Chief at The Interline) will be joined by: Ravi Rangan, CTO of PLM and go-to-market giant Centric Software; Craig Planson, CRO of 3D design and development platform Browzwear; and Ugnius Rimsa, Senior Manager of AI Engineering for Browzwear, and former Founder and CTO of pioneering AI company Lalaland.
