About this event
As an Association, we are very aware that there is currently a lot of confusion in the sector regarding whether 4G Networks are better or worse than Ambient Loop Networks (sometimes referred to 5G Networks). The reality is that neither is better or worse, because in practice they are quite different technology solutions, and which one you select will depend, to a large degree, on your development and what you want to achieve. We have created this event to demystify any confusion regarding the nature and advantages of these two types of Networks. We hope that this will be a very informative event for many Members of our sector and we hope to see you there and take advantage of our Q&A panel where you can have your questions answered by our experts.

Simon is an independent consultant with 30-years experience developing district energy schemes. He is currently involved with developing 10 schemes across the UK and works part-time as the UKDEA Chairman. Until 2014 he was the CEO of the UK’s largest district energy company Cofely District Energy.
The UK District Energy Association’s aim is to represent current and potential owners, developers, consumers, partners, operators, product suppliers, and interested parties involved with the District Energy sector throughout the UK.
