In this online workshop with Mary Ellen, discover fundamental drawing skills, access confidence in representing the natural world on paper, and learn techniques for working with color to help capture the beauty and vividness of cacti and succulents.

Mary Ellen Carsley is a scientific and botanical illustrator, as well as an art educator. A former practicing architect, she has illustrated eight books and numerous articles for national and international journals.
Steeped in history, rich with tradition, the United States Botanic Garden (USBG) is a living plant museum that informs visitors about the importance, and often irreplaceable value, of plants to the well-being of humans and to earth's fragile ecosystems.
