The next Unlimited Voices celebrates the one year anniversary of the decriminalization of psilocybin in Denver. We’ll discuss how that campaign helped ignite a movement to decriminalize psychedelics across more than 100 cities nationwide and what the future holds for the movement at-large.
We’re honored to be joined by the Co-Founder and Chair of Decriminalize Nature and Oakland Community Healing Initiative, Carlos Plazola; Co-Founder and Executive Director of SPORE, Kevin Mathews; and Iowa State Representative, Jeff Shipley.
Kevin is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Society for Psychedelic Outreach, Reform, and Education (SPORE). After successfully leading the campaign to decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms in Denver he formed SPORE. He is also the President of the Denver Psilocybin Mushroom Policy Review Panel.
Carlos is the Co-Founder of Decriminalize Nature Oakland. After two transformative journeys using psilocybin and Ayahuasca, he became an advocate for the decriminalization of entheogens. This February, Decriminalize Nature launched the Oakland Community Healing Initiative.
Representative Shipley is serving his first term in the Iowa House. Jeff has a sales and marketing background and spent three years in the renewable energy industry. Jeff first became the Fairfield Oktoberfest Running of the Wieners chairman in 2016.
