Dr. Zager is the head of critical care and a managing partner at Philadelphia Animal Specialty and Emergency. He spent three years in Hong Kong setting up a critical care department in one of Asia’s few veterinary specialty hospitals. Dr. Zager attended Bucknell University where he earned a degree in animal behavior. After earning his doctorate in veterinary medicine from Cornell University, he completed a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the New York City Animal Medical Center. He followed his rotating internship with a specialty internship in emergency and critical care at Tufts University and returned to Cornell for a three-year emergency and critical care residency.
