It’s with much enthusiasm that Vetoquinol is inviting you to the Xpertise Webinar with Dr. Bart Pardon and Prof. Dr. Hans Nauwynck on Wednesday July 7th :

“ Quick scan lung ultrasonography and pathogen specific approaches to tackle BRD problem herds”

(2x30 minutes lecture followed by a 15 minutes questions & answers session)

Our guest speakers will discuss and expand on a step-wise approach to tackle bovine respiratory disease problem herds, using quick scan lung ultrasonography, respiratory tract sampling and microbiological testing to design pathogen specific control and prevention customized to the herd.

Dr. Bart Pardon, DVM PhD Dipl. ECBHM, is currently is associate professor in large animal internal medicine at Ghent University (Belgium). He holds a PhD in veterinary sciences dealing with morbidity, mortality and drug use in veal calves with emphasis on respiratory disease (2012). He is an EBVS certified specialist in bovine herd health management. Dr. Pardon is the head of the ruminant division of the clinic for large animal internal medicine, both offering advanced individual care and diagnostics in function of herd problems for cattle, sheep, goats and camelids.

Prof. Dr. Hans Nauwynck, DVM PhD, was nominated as professor at Ghent University (Belgium) in 1993, where he still endeavours, and in 2004 he took over the lead of the laboratory of virology. A globally respected expert on viral diseases in various animal species, Dr. Nauwynck has also received his Diplomate at the European College of Pig Health Management, and at present lectures several courses on viral diseases in mammals, fish and shellfish. His research focuses on cellular and molecular pathogenesis of viral diseases in man and animals.
