Claude Béata (DVM, Dipl ECVBM-CA) finished is vet studies in 1985, he was a GP until 1998 while starting to specialize in behavior medicine.
Right now, Claude is Honorary President of Zoopsy, Vice President of the AFVAC study group, President of the GECAF (a teaching group for practicing GP), he is also coordinating a university diploma in Veterinary Psychiatry at the Medicine University of Lyon, Vet school of Lyon and Zoopsy.
Claude contribute to knowledge diffusion by publishing numerous books destined to pet owners (La Psychologie du Chien, O.Jacob, 2004 ; Au risque d’aimer , O. Jacob, 2013 ; Chiens et chats : Pourquoi tant d’amour with V. Despret and E.Baratay, Belin 2015 ; La folie des Chats O.Jacob 2022) but also books destined to vets and scientists (Zoopsychiatry Collection and 20 cas cliniques en médecine du comportement Ed Medcom 2007)
