Virbac invites you to their event

Unlocking the Power of Protein for Optimal Health in Dogs and Cats

About this event

Protein provides essential amino acids that are needed for optimal health. Not all proteins are created equal and insufficient or poor quality protein intake can negatively affect the health of both dogs and cats. In this presentation, we will review the functions of protein and amino acids and their essentiality in the body, cover what minimum vs optimal levels of protein intake are defined as, consequences of deficiency, disease conditions that are impacted directly by protein intake, and controversies centered around protein levels in the diet. Veterinary practitioners should recommend diets that provide optimal protein quality and quantity, and those that are appropriate for the life stage and condition of the pet in order to maximally support health.

This is a live event only and will not be recorded.

This program has been approved for 1.0 hour of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize RACE approval. Virbac is approved as a NY State sponsor of continuing education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. You must attend the full presentation to receive CE credit.
