Virbac invites you to their event

Smart Farming in Modern Swine Production

About this event

ABOUT THE EVENT:

Smart Farming is the application of modern Information and Communication Technologies into agriculture. The use of these new technologies leads to a new era in agriculture, which we can call the Third Green Revolution.

Following the plant breeding and genetics revolutions, this Third Green Revolution is taking over the agricultural world based upon the combined application of Information and Communication Technologies solutions such as precision equipment, the Internet of Things, sensors and actuators, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and robotics.

Thanks to Smart Farming, we can have a more productive and a more sustainable agricultural production, based on a more precise and resource-efficient approach.

It can help us to have more and better knowledge, more effective use of resources, improvement of yield, processes and practices, better traceability of animals and medicines and better performances.

Join us to learn more about what smart farming is and what it will represent in the future of swine farming, presented by two experts.

Together, let's shape the future of animal health.

INVITED EXPERTS:

Prof. Lenny van Erp (HAS University of Applied Science, the Netherlands) will present what Smart Farming is, how it is already helping pork producers around the globe, what the key benefits are and what her expectation for the future is.

Peter ter Linde (LeeO, the Netherlands) will present the innovative smart farming system for swine he built with his company, named LeeO, and share some user experiences at large farms.

MODERATED BY:

Dr Mark Mombarg (Independent Veterinary Consultant, Spain) and Eloise Galmiche (Virbac, France)
