Senior Security Specialist and Manager for R&D within the DEKRA Cybersecurity Hub. He has ten years of experience as a security specialist and manager in the Swedish Armed Forces and Swedish National Communication Security Authority. He has broad expertise in many security topics, especially security evaluation of communication systems and integrated circuits, side-channel analysis, fault-injection attacks, and cryptography. He received a master’s degree in applied physics and electrical engineering from Linköping University, Sweden, during which he spent one year at the Technische Universität München, Germany and one at ETSIT Polytechnical University of Madrid, Spain.
Laurent defines security features for STM32 MCUs and MPUs, fortifying STM32 products against security threats and earning the trust of STM32 users worldwide. His mission is including new cybersecurity regulations compliance with objective to speed up customer certifications. Laurent also chairs the Software Bill of Materials Sub Task Force at GlobalPlatform, supporting EU CRA regulation.
Dr. Beatrice Peirani is the standardization expert at Thales (former Gemalto), specialized on advanced IT security and cryptographic technologies. She served ten years working as a national french expert in different standardization committees including AFNOR, CEN, and the ETSI to develop the standards on electronic signature required by the EU regulation. Dr. Peirani was then selected as an expert by the European Commission to develop the eIDAS Regulation and produce the supportive technical standardization framework. Dr. Peirani is the Chair of GlobalPlatform’s Crypto Sub-Task Force, which evaluates and recommends cryptographic algorithms for the banking and transport industries as well as for security government programs. She is co-chair of the FIDO Alliance's Post-Quantum Cryptography Study Group, of the FIDO Alliance’s Security & Privacy Working Group and the organization’s Certification Working Group.
