  I am a South African and European specialist in veterinary clinical pathology. After several years in small animal private practice in Pretoria, I returned to the University of Pretoria’s Faculty of Veterinary Science and completed my clinical pathology residency in 2020. I currently runs Kytos Clinical Pathology Consultancy, an independent consultancy based in Centurion, Gauteng, that provides clinical pathology services to private veterinarians and referral laboratories. I have a special interest in cytology and haematology and enjoy receiving samples from a variety of species from dogs, cats and horses to birds and reptiles. I also enjoy paying it forward, educating general and special veterinarians on how to use clinical pathology as a tool to provide an excellent standard of care to all their patients.
