DEKRA invites you to their event

EU Battery Passport: How to Tackle Carbon Footprint & Due Diligence Data Challenges

About this event

Preparing Digital Battery Passport Data for Carbon Footprint & Due Diligence Compliance

Hosted by DEKRA & Circularise

The Digital Battery Passport will become mandatory in the European Union from 18 February 2027 for electric vehicle batteries, industrial batteries and light means of transport (LMT) batteries. Among the most critical challenges organizations face today are preparing the data needed to support Carbon Footprint reporting and Battery Due Diligence reporting requirements, and preparing the supporting evidence and traceability needed for verification.

As regulatory deadlines approach, companies must move beyond understanding the requirements and begin establishing the processes, systems, and supplier engagement strategies needed to collect, manage, and validate the necessary information.

Join experts from DEKRA and Circularise for an interactive discussion on how organizations can prepare for data verification under the EU Battery Regulation and build confidence in their Digital Battery Passport data.

Key Questions We Will Explore

  • What Carbon Footprint and Due Diligence documentation will battery manufacturers and OEMs need to provide for the Digital Battery Passport?
  • Which data points should companies prioritize collecting now to prepare for future verification requirements?
  • How can organizations obtain reliable supplier data across multi-tier battery value chains?
  • What are the most common data gaps and quality issues that prevent successful verification?
  • How can companies demonstrate traceability and data integrity throughout the battery supply chain?
  • How can companies improve data quality, consistency, and traceability?
  • What role does independent third-party verification play in ensuring compliance?
  • What evidence do third-party verifiers actually look for in a carbon footprint assessment?

Why This Matters Now

Preparing carbon footprint reporting and supply chain documentation will be key for Battery Passport readiness. However, compliance depends not only on collecting data, but also on demonstrating that the information is accurate, reliable, and verifiable.

Organizations need to prepare early to reduce implementation risks, improve supplier collaboration, and establish a stronger foundation for future compliance.

This webinar will provide practical guidance on how to prepare your organization for data verification, helping you build the processes and confidence needed for EU Battery Passport readiness.

Who Should Attend?

This webinar is particularly relevant for professionals involved in Battery Passport readiness, sustainability reporting, compliance, and supply chain transparency, including:

  • Battery manufacturers
  • OEMs
  • Sustainability and ESG teams
  • Compliance and regulatory professionals
  • Supply chain managers
  • Battery Passport and Digital Product Passport leaders
  • Responsible sourcing and Due Diligence teams
  • Battery and circular economy specialists

Live Q&A

The session will conclude with a dedicated Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions directly to the DEKRA and Circularise experts.

Why DEKRA and Circularise

Preparing for verification requires both trusted data infrastructure and independent verification expertise. DEKRA and Circularise help organizations address both dimensions of Digital Battery Passport readiness.

Register Now

February 2027 may seem far away, but preparing for verification should not be left until the final stages of compliance. Organizations need time to engage suppliers, establish data collection processes, improve traceability, and ensure data can withstand verification.

Join DEKRA and Circularise to learn how your organization can prepare for successful data verification and strengthen its EU Battery Passport readiness.
