FLOWSPARKS invites you to their event

Don’t fail your franchisees: lessons from Carrefour to solve inconsistent training, low learner engagement, and increase L&D efficiency and professionalism

About this event

How can you deliver consistent, effective training when your trainers are experts but lack formal teaching skills? Classroom sessions often overwhelm busy schedules, and rapidly changing procedures only add to the challenge.

For Carrefour Belgium, inconsistent training and low learner engagement were real challenges across their vast network of 18,000 employees and franchise partners. Trainers were subject matter experts but not always skilled educators, and traditional classroom training was time-consuming and hard to scale. Procedures evolved quickly, making it difficult to keep training up to date.

To tackle this, Carrefour made a strategic shift to a decentralized, digital-first learning approach. They empowered subject matter experts to create short, focused training modules that fit franchisees’ busy lives and ensured consistency across locations and 3 languages. This allowed non-expert trainers to quickly develop effective content without specialized skills, increasing L&D efficiency while maintaining training quality and uniformity.

Join Johan Wöhr, L&D Manager at Carrefour Belgium, in this session to discover how Carrefour:

  • Created a uniform learning experience across a massive, diverse workforce
  • Broke down training into manageable modules that increase engagement and fit busy schedules
  • Enabled trainers without formal teaching skills to deliver impactful training fast
  • Balanced consistency with flexibility to meet the needs of different franchises

You’ll learn their practical learning strategy for implementing decentralized training and empowering subject matter experts. Additionally, we’ll cover how modular digital learning can increase engagement and drive efficiency.

Ideal for L&D leaders and training managers supporting franchises or decentralized teams who need to deliver high-quality training faster and with fewer resources.
