About this event
New treatment modalities become available for our patients every year, many used in highly developed markets where pet insurance is ubiquitous and every dog has its own physiotherapist and psychologist. As a general vet in practice, how do I make an evidence-based decision about which new treatment modality is appropriate for my patients? And as a physiotherapist treating post-op patients, which treatment modalities can I safely use after PRP, or stem cell treatments?
In this talk, we will look at the highest level of evidence for each of the new types of regenerative medicine which are available in South Africa, as well as the evidence behind the best aftercare for these patients. We will also discuss real cases to help ground the theory in our every day lives.
